Called "La Raza," the gang/military force/swarthy boogieman was supposedly occupying Sarita, Texas (pop. 284) after invading the town Thursday night.
Except they weren't, of course, as multiple area news agencies soon confirmed the story was a hoax. One man went so far as to film the empty streets of Sarita, but even then some remained unconvinced.
UNFREAKING BELIEVABLE!!!!!!!!!!!! http://t.co/RjREraDk1e
